Battlefield Bad Company 2 Squad Rush Mode

Electronic Arts studio DICE has revealed the first details on a previously unannounced multiplayer mode for military shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Squad Rush is a more intimate version of the game’s larger Rush mode, which was featured in a beta on PlayStation 3 last month and debuts on PC starting this week.

Two squads of four players will battle over control of two key tactical points on a military base. Matches will only include infantry combat, so no access to vehicles such as tanks or jeeps.

EA has posted footage of Squad Rush on its official YouTube channel. Readers, keep in mind the video is intended for mature audiences.

The mode will be available exclusively to players who pre-order Bad Company 2 for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 at GameStop. After a 30-day period, all other players can download Squad Rush free of charge. The exclusivity arrangement won’t apply to PC players.

Readers, what do you think of Squad Rush?
