Electronic Arts Inc. today revealed new details of the Medal of Honor Limited Edition that will be released in North America on October 12, 2010. The Limited Edition* features a host of weapons, powerful ammunition and camouflage. The weapons and camouflage give players a tactical gameplay advantage on day one. EA also announced today that people who own the Medal of Honor Limited Edition will receive an invitation to the beta** for another highly-anticipated EA shooter, Battlefield 3™. Battlefield 3 is the latest entry in the award-winning shooter franchise from DICE in Stockholm, Sweden.
This Sunday August 1, be sure to check out a 100% all-new Medal of Honor gameplay trailer directed by Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn. The trailer will feature in-game footage set to the band’s recently-announced single ‘The Catalyst’ at www.medalofhonor.com/linkinpark. More details about the Battlefield 3 beta itself can also be found at www.medalofhonor.com/battlefield3.

Medal of Honor Limited Edition also features special content out-of-the-box including the MP-7, a weapon utilized by real-world Tier 1 Operators in the field. With its light weight, high rate of fire as well as its ability to penetrate body armor, the MP-7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle. The Limited Edition also includes two powerful shotguns with custom slugs. These devastating shotguns and ammunition are ideal for close-range fights.
* The PlayStation 3 version of the Limited Edition also includes the classic, Medal of Honor Frontline™ completely remastered in HD. **Restrictions and conditions apply to Beta offer. See http://www.ea.com/beta for details.

battlefield 3 within 12 months.. why do you guys always put a date on everything, focus more on making MoH and BFBC2 Vietnam before you start making new games

Uhm, actually there have been rumors of them making BF3 since before bad company ONE came out. So if anything all the other games have been holding BF3 up. Good try though sport. I’m not complaining though, considering it’s been in the making for so long it’ll make BF3 all the better.

I bet EA made the other games to keep us occupied while they made the spectacular, Battlefield 3! It’s gonna be amazing.

looooooooool … i hope that isnt the death of bc2 support (new maps, etc) after bc2-vietman is coming out…
… please do not forget bc2… or is that the commercial way of dice to bring out and half game, make it to full game with “VIP mappacks” … then bring an expansion pack for to earn more money AND then LET IT DIE??!! i hope it is not turning into a warfail(2)
so, i hope b3 isnt coming out too fast.
AND whats up with the tier1 edition or is this only for the limited edition???
*************************************************
that was foxzerotwo’s comment
i dont get ur reasoning. Battlefield 3 is a different series from bfbc2, its from the old PC exclusive battlefield 2 from 2005. “I hope b3 isnt coming out too fast.” thats going to be 6 years man, and ur saying its coming out too fast. Just cause if they made an expansion pack (in this case vietnam) and they forget about the original for a while doesnt mean its forgotten forever.
ur way too worked up over the fact that that bad company 2 might gonna lose support, if it started off a fine game, it will stay a fine game.

I love how PC gamers don’t understand that very few games will be PC only. Especially as time moves on. The market for games is in consoles. PC is losing that war. It’s all about the money. BF3 beta is a nice incentive to buy MoH. I still won’t though.

Wow. This is going to be lame for the consoles. I feel sorry for anyone that cant afford a PC to play this game. I wish there was a better way to put it, sorry.

Yeah I’d agree, but consoles are doing so much better than they were when they made BF2 for the consoles. The other reason I disagree is because punkbuster screws everything up on the PC, and I won’t have to deal with them on the 360.
