Infrared scope

Gents:

It appeared prior to the Dec 8 patch EA was trying to model the UT3500 Urban Thermal Wpn Sight II.  It is used by US special Forces.  Its range is 550 meters.   It has a distance setting and a CQB urban setting with 15" fov.   The game had one fov.  It also has thermal detection that allows for daylight low light detection.

In the Dec 8 patch... distance cut back to 100 meters and is listed as 40 meters effective range?    Is EA now trying to model the Model 1337 Type IR/NV 1x power scope? 

Why.... A lot of people are annoyed to have lost their super IRNV scope:<)   In Tehran streets it is ...was.... incredible.  So.. what IRNV scope was Ea trying to model in the pre patch and which one are they trying to model in the patch?    Help us here EA?
