------BF3 "BACK TO KARKAND" MAPS REVEALED------

Well while I was searching for some new info for you guys (BOOOYAAA) I found an article that talks about the new "Back to Karkand" maps and how they will be better with the all new FROST BITE 2.0 engine.

(These maps only come with the BF3 limited edition and may or may not be sold as DLC)

The Limited Edition of Battlefield 3 will come with a four maps from Battlefield 2 that have been recreated with the Frostbite 2.0 engine. Battlefield players have always had their favorites but now we know which maps will be included in "Back to Karkand."

According to a post from DICE community Manager Daniel Matros at the Official Battlefield forum these are your "Back to Karkand" DLC maps.

    * Wake Island
    * Strike at Karkand
    * Gulf of Oman
    * Sharqi Peninsula

There were twelve maps included with Battlefield 2. Matros couldn't confirm whether or not anymore maps would be remade for the newest version of DICE's military shooter.

The maps will come free for those that pre-order Battlefield 3. Presumably, gamers that don't pre-order will have the option to purchase them separately after the game is released sometime this Fall.

YA LOVE WAKE AND KIRKLAN!! suppose Omah is fun, but Sharqi, almost no one likes that map, shoud of gone with "Dalian Plant" "Dragon Valley" "Operation Smoke Screen" or even "Operation Road Rage" but not Shargi.

I never played BF2 so I don't know anything about these maps.  But hey the more the better.  The Karkand one looks cool though.  I like all the middle eastern architecture.  Will be fun to completely destroy it.

I suggest you try BF2 just for shits and giggles. The game is still played by lots of users and it only costs 9.99
