If I own BF 2: MC and BFBC:1, would I then be able to get access to the weapons only available with veteran status like the M1 Garand?

yes, but you need to go to their main site
http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/
and go to my soldier and click on veteran
make sure you sign up using your email linked to your GT...I know this sounds like common sense but alot of people dont, then they cannot get thier veteran status.

why did they change it from bc:1 where I got the (worthless) f2000 without having to go online and do anything? the second I started up BC:1 it gave me the F2000...
regardless, i'm gonna be on BC:2 tonight!
I tore apart my xbox and got the problem all smoothed out.

thats good to hear. I was recording our matches yesterday...I got the part where I killed you with the shotgun when you were on my team...and the part where I got all three of you in that small room.
I have never made a montage, but me and my brother are going to try. I have great gameplay...I just hope we can edit it to make it look dope.

SICK! I need to get a capture card so I can make some montages.
that was some pretty sick gaming yesterday, too bad I couldn't get a Hand grenade montage... I was doing some straight raping on that same map the next time we played it! just kept picking up assault kits and using the grenades. haha

I keep trying to log into that thing so I can claim veteran status, however, it wont let me log in, it keeps saying password is wrong, but I just changed my password for my ea account..

now I can log in, but bad company 1 nor modern combat is showing up for veteran status!
and those games were registered to my xbox from my old account.
no veteran status on BC:2 for me.

have you tried making a battlefield heroes account. It is free and you do not have to play, all you need to do is start an account and make a character.
alot of people are getting screwed cause the used a different account for the other games.
